CDI Solutions was engaged by United Community Bank (UCB) to refresh four branch locations in Louisiana—Baton Rouge, Prairieville, Gonzales, and Thibodaux. The objective was to implement a prototype design previously developed by CDI Solutions using a “kit-of-parts” approach. This ensured that each branch refresh aligned seamlessly with the prototype’s form and function while maintaining consistency across locations.

The project began with comprehensive surveys of each location to evaluate which elements of the existing spaces could be integrated into the new prototype layout. This approach minimized construction impact and adhered to budget constraints. Key areas for updates were identified, allowing the refresh to blend effortlessly into the current space plan. The prototype’s specifications were then tailored to each branch, ensuring a cohesive application of UCB’s updated brand identity.

Each branch's refreshed lobby incorporated the materials and finishes of the original prototype, creating a consistent and welcoming atmosphere across all locations. Open teller stations and accessible private offices were a focal point, enhancing customer interactions. Teller stations equipped with Teller Cash Recyclers (TCR) balanced traditional teller services with desk space for financial consultations. These dual-purpose stations ensured ADA accessibility, promoting inclusivity and a streamlined customer experience.

Private offices in each refreshed branch adhered to the prototype design, featuring under-counter lighting, wire management, and modesty panels to optimize functionality. These elements ensured a cohesive workspace that aligned with modern banking needs. By combining aesthetics with practicality, the offices supported an efficient and visually appealing environment for staff and customers alike.
