CDI Solutions was honored to collaborate with the Architect to develop a refreshed branch prototype for South Louisiana Bank, a community-focused institution deeply rooted in southeast Louisiana. South Louisiana Bank is more than a financial establishment—it is an integral part of Acadiana's fabric, fostering close-knit relationships with customers who are considered friends, family, and neighbors. The bank's employees actively contribute to their communities, participating in schools, churches, volunteer projects supporting levees and coastal restoration, and civic events. This profound connection to the community is central to South Louisiana Bank’s identity, and the new branch design needed to honor this commitment to personal relationships.

The design prototype aimed to create a versatile environment adaptable across multiple locations while ensuring a consistent and recognizable identity. CDI Solutions developed a flexible kit of parts, allowing millwork and furniture to be reconfigured to suit various branch layouts. A standout feature of the design is the hybrid teller line, which combines the traditional face-to-face banking experience with the efficiency of modern teller pods. This approach maximizes space while preserving the personalized service that South Louisiana Bank customers value.

To appeal to the bank’s loyal clientele and a younger demographic, the design balances modern and traditional aesthetics. Sleek, contemporary lines blend seamlessly with rustic accents, creating a transitional style. Warm wood tones on the floors and teller line are complemented by custom wood millwork detailing, modern lighting, and thoughtfully selected furniture. The millwork incorporates a stylized cypress tree motif, paying homage to the iconic cypress swamps of southeast Louisiana. This feature reinforces the design’s local relevance and provides a sense of place that resonates with employees and customers alike.

CDI Solutions also designed custom interior and exterior signage to enhance the bank’s brand identity. The cypress tree motif is subtly integrated into room signs, while exterior signage is designed to ensure clear navigation. These details contribute to a cohesive and intuitive experience for customers. The lobby space further celebrates the region with curated artwork by New Orleans artist Dianne Parks, whose pieces highlight the cultural and natural beauty of southeast Louisiana.
