CDI Solutions continues its tradition of designing exceptional bank locations for the Bank of Zachary with the creation of its new branch in the Shoe Creek development in Central, Louisiana. Established in 1904, the Bank of Zachary is the oldest chartered bank headquartered in East Baton Rouge Parish and a trusted fixture in the community. Known for its "Bank of Zachary Way," the institution's logo—featuring four equal geometric shapes resembling panes of glass or flower petals—represents its dedication to customers, staff, shareholders, and the broader community.
A Space That Reflects Tradition
The Shoe Creek branch’s interior embodies a transitional design that blends modern aesthetics with historical respect. Warm and inviting elements such as herringbone-patterned wood flooring, reclaimed brick walls, cypress beams, and vibrant feature walls honor the bank’s rich heritage while signaling a forward-looking approach. This thoughtful design creates an environment that celebrates the community while meeting the needs of modern banking.
Personalized Banking
Moving away from traditional teller desks, the Shoe Creek branch incorporates teller pods that enhance the customer experience by enabling more personal and genuine interactions. Integrated with Teller Cash Recyclers (TCRs), these pods streamline transactions, improving efficiency for both customers and staff. This innovative approach aligns with the bank’s mission to create a customer-focused, efficient, and welcoming atmosphere.
Community-Centric Design
The branch’s lounge areas feature residential-style furniture, creating a familiar, home-like ambiance that resonates with the surrounding bedroom communities. Local furniture providers contributed reclaimed and refinished pieces, such as the conference room table and check-writing stands, emphasizing the bank's commitment to supporting local businesses. This design approach not only fosters comfort but also reinforces the Bank of Zachary's deep ties to its community.
Local Identity
Local photography plays a prominent role throughout the branch, connecting the space to the community it serves. Customers are greeted with artwork and photographs showcasing the essence of the surrounding area, captured by a local photographer. This artistic element enhances the branch’s welcoming atmosphere and strengthens its community-centered identity.
