CDI Solutions was honored to develop a new prototype design for CSE Federal Credit Union’s branch locations, furthering our long-standing partnership. This project marked a significant evolution in the credit union's design, aimed at reflecting the growing and diverse community it serves across Calcasieu, Cameron, Jefferson Davis, Beauregard, Vernon, and Allen Parishes. Established in 1943 to serve Cities Service Refining Corporation employees and their families, the credit union has since expanded its membership significantly. The new design had to balance progressive, modern elements with the character and charm historically associated with its branches. This vision aligns with the credit union’s mission of "People helping People Build Financial Success" and its philosophy of "strong heritage, smart future."

The new branch design features warm wood tones, natural stone, and vibrant pops of color, creating an environment that is welcoming and dynamic. These elements combine a contemporary aesthetic with a nod to tradition, ensuring familiarity for members. Individual teller pods equipped with Teller Cash Recyclers (TCR) enhance transaction efficiency while removing physical barriers, fostering stronger personal connections between staff and members. Environmental branding, including custom digital wall coverings and branded imagery, reinforces the credit union's identity and mission, creating a meaningful connection with the communities served.

Lighting plays a pivotal role in shaping the branch atmosphere. A combination of natural and artificial lighting creates a bright, welcoming environment, while accent features such as cove and pendant lights enhance the ambiance of specific areas. CDI Solutions also managed furniture design, procurement, and installation, focusing on comfort and functionality. From ergonomic teller chairs to welcoming lobby seating and fully equipped member service offices, every furniture choice supported staff productivity and member comfort. Wayfinding and signage—both interior and exterior—were carefully designed to ensure navigation ease and aesthetic cohesion throughout the space.

The new prototype design for CSE Federal Credit Union represents a forward-thinking approach while respecting its rich heritage. By blending contemporary elements with traditional touches, the design fosters meaningful interactions, enhances the member experience, and supports the credit union’s mission to help members build financial success.
