CDI Solutions was honored to undertake the comprehensive design, space planning, branding, and wayfinding for Campus Federal Credit Union's new branch in New Orleans. This project exemplifies our commitment to creating functional, aesthetically pleasing, and brand-aligned spaces that prioritize the member experience. Our scope of work included detailed construction documents with a particular emphasis on custom millwork, reflecting our expertise in integrating various elements to produce cohesive and visually engaging environments.

The construction documents developed for this project were meticulously detailed, encompassing millwork, electrical requirements, elevations, and accent wall paint colors. A critical aspect of the project was the floor finish plan, essential for managing the complex floor patterns designed. This plan illustrated the relationships between millwork and ceiling elements, ensuring smooth flooring transitions and precise dimensions. Additionally, our team created a reflected ceiling plan to convey the design intent, which the architect then incorporated into the final construction documents.

The new branch design is a harmonious blend of custom millwork, branded elements, traditional materials, and modern lines. Our design intent was to seamlessly incorporate Campus Federal Credit Union’s brand identity while maintaining a focus on the member experience. Upon entering the branch, members are greeted at a custom concierge desk and lounge area. Beyond this initial area, a striking millwork feature wall guides customers toward the interactive teller machines (ITMs), creating a visually cohesive and intuitive flow through the space. One standout feature is the integration of curved design elements, visually connecting the different services offered within the branch and enhancing both functionality and aesthetic appeal.

In line with our commitment to accessibility and inclusivity, the teller units include a standard height unit and an ADA-compliant unit to accommodate those with special needs. Privacy between customers is ensured through panels with integrated marketing materials, creating a barrier that is both functional and informative. The branch's open and barrier-free plan fosters an atmosphere of accessibility, ease, and productivity for both staff and members. Additionally, the design emphasizes the credit union's mission of "people helping people" by creating a dedicated tech center where members can interact with digital platforms, gaining the knowledge and skills to manage their finances through cutting-edge technology.

The project incorporated sustainable design principles, using materials and finishes that are environmentally friendly and contribute to the health and well-being of the occupants. The selection of materials was carefully considered to ensure durability, ease of maintenance, and aesthetic appeal, aligning with the credit union's commitment to sustainability. Lighting also played a crucial role, with a combination of natural and artificial lighting used to create a bright, welcoming environment. Pendant lights and integrated lighting elements were strategically placed to highlight key areas and add warmth and comfort to the space.
