Bringing the Brand to Life: Environmental Graphics for Donaldsonville High School Commons
CDI Solutions was engaged by Ascension Parish Schools to lead the development of environmental graphics and branding enhancements for Donaldsonville High School’s Commons, a central space where students gather, interact, and connect with their school identity on a daily basis. Our mission: reinforce school pride and culture through high-impact visual storytelling rooted in the school’s mascot, THE TIGER, and its bold branding palette of red, black, white, and gray.

Layered Identity: Integrating Brand Elements with Purpose and Personality
The project called for a thoughtful balance of creativity, fabrication strategy, and functional integration into an existing space. Working closely with school leadership and facility teams, CDI Solutions developed a comprehensive visual package that included both original and refreshed graphic assets. While we leveraged the school’s primary tiger mascot as a foundational element, we also introduced a series of secondary enhanced graphics, tiger claws, abstracted stripe patterns, and a custom "D" emblem, to add energy, texture, and variety across multiple touchpoints.
Precision in the Details
A close-up of the tiger graphic shows the detail that went into aligning the segmented components. Due to the scale of the graphic, our team developed mock-ups in the studio to determine how each section would align during install, ensuring both design integrity and ease of fabrication.
Another key moment in the space is located at the restroom corridor, where we applied an updated “D” monogram, a visual shorthand for Donaldsonville High School, surrounded by bold tiger claw marks that scratch through the wall. Again, this was executed using a combination of heat-applied vinyl and a raised dimensional letterform to deliver visual punch and cohesion with the main Commons wall.

Technical Design in Action
Much of this work began at the design bench. Our in-house team created custom vector art in Adobe Illustrator, adjusting proportions, scale, and layout to fit real site dimensions. We coordinated closely with fabricators through detailed shop drawings, including redline markups, callouts for vinyl film types, wall color matches, and assembly notes to ensure successful execution on-site.
