Modernizing Classic Charm
CDI Solutions embarked on a transformative design project for Rotolo's Pizzeria, skillfully blending modern aesthetics with the restaurant's classic architectural charm. Spanning 3,000 square feet, the space was crafted to be inviting and functional, retaining the warmth and appeal of a family-friendly dining venue. Through thoughtful design choices, CDI Solutions created an environment that marries contemporary elements with rustic accents, embodying the owner’s vision and Rotolo’s brand identity.
Intuitive Space Planning
A standout feature of this project was the intuitive space planning, which ensures patrons can navigate the dining area, bar, and service counter effortlessly. The layout follows ADA guidelines closely, incorporating accessible counter heights, wide pathways, and compliant seating. This emphasis on accessibility allows all guests, including families and those with mobility concerns, to enjoy the restaurant comfortably, creating a truly inclusive dining experience.
Enhanced Spatial Organization
The design team used the ceiling plan to enhance spatial organization, creating distinct zones without physical barriers. A lowered tin ceiling visually separates the dining and bar areas, while gypsum board soffits painted in Rotolo’s brand colors hover above the booth seating and service line. These ceiling elements add vibrant color and reinforce spatial boundaries, contributing to a dynamic, engaging atmosphere that patrons can appreciate from every corner of the restaurant.
Blending Modern and Rustic Elements
Rotolo’s interior strikes a balance between sleek, contemporary design and traditional finishes. Elements like reclaimed St. Louis brick walls, wood flooring, and tin-look ceilings juxtapose with modern features such as clean-lined tables and ceiling clouds. This thoughtful mix of old and new materials creates a unique ambiance that is both stylish and welcoming, in perfect alignment with the restaurant’s brand strategy
Flexible Seating Options
Throughout the dining area, booth seating and reconfigurable four-top tables provide flexibility, catering to various group sizes. High-backed booths, paired with lowered soffits and pendant lighting, create an intimate atmosphere that makes each dining experience feel personal. This flexibility ensures the space adapts to different patron needs, enhancing the overall comfort and functionality of the restaurant.
Integrating Brand Elements
Branding played a significant role in the project, with wall graphics inspired by the client’s marketing materials seamlessly integrated into the design. This branding connects the restaurant’s interior to its larger identity, enhancing the customer experience. CDI Solutions also incorporated dynamic signage for to-go areas and creatively blended the restaurant’s taglines into the space, reinforcing Rotolo's brand in a cohesive and immersive manner.
